A schoolteacher faces abuse charges over claims she led a student into her grandparents’ bedroom and had sex with him.

Alexis Mercedes Boberg, 25, reportedly exchanged numbers and Snapchat details with the youngster while working at North County High School in Anne Arundel, Maryland, last month.

The substitute teacher reportedly took the boy, whose age has not been released, and his friends for Snowball frozen treats, before buying them rum.

Their texts are said to have become sexual, with Boberg finally having sexual intercourse with the youngster in the back bedroom of her grandparents’ home on May 24.

She is said to have had sex with him again three days later in her car, while it was parked outside the Marley Station Mall.

The Capital Gazette reported that Boberg’s alleged abuse of power was exposed three days later, when police were called to North County High School.

There, the boy and his mother told officers they wanted to report a sex offense.

The mother reportedly said: ‘During the last 20 days, my son has been manipulated into a sexual relationship (with) his substitute teacher at school.’

Cops raided Boberg’s home, where they are said to have uncovered evidence of the alleged abuse.

Boberg is now set to be the first teacher charged under a law amended in Maryland in 2014 to deal with such allegations.

That prohibits part-time as well as full-time school workers having sex with students, regardless of how old the latter is.

Boberg has been released on bail ahead of her next court appearance.
